Leave-In Hair Conditioner

by Anonymous

Do you have to rinse the coconut oil out your hair or can you leave it in like a leave-in conditioner?

Hi,

You can do either. It's all up to you.

Personally, I leave the coconut oil in because I work at home. I don't have to worry if my hair and scalp get a little too oily.

You can rinse the coconut oil out your hair after at least thirty minutes, preferably one hour, for better results. Many people achieve outstanding results by leaving the oil in overnight and rinsing in the morning. It depends entirely on you.

The idea is to keep it in as long as possible to let coconut oil's plentiful medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) to do "that thing they do" that's so good for the hair.

Hope this helps,
Frederick

Shea Moisture
by: Anonymous

I used Shea Moisture in my hair. I have bad reaction to many things. I was looking for a product that was natural.

Well, I can’t use She Moisture either. I got a bad reaction to the product. I can’t use gels if they have protein in them and can’t use hair care products that have gum in them. I had to wash the product out my hair.

I think if you have very course and thick hair, it probably helps you. I have a hard time finding a product that works especially since I went curly girl. I only cowash, put leave-in conditioner and coconut oil. I hope all is well with my hair in the morning.

Overnight is Best!
by: Bernadette

I get good results by keeping coconut oil on my hair and scalp for at least an hour. But I achieve the best results when I leave it on overnight!

I have thick, long hair and an itchy scalp due to dandruff. Only medicated shampoos worked for my dandruff problem, but I really prefer natural means so it led me to coconut oil.

The very first time I left coconut oil overnight, my scalp felt sooo good. Coconut oil ended my dependence on expensive medicated shampoo.
