The Coconut Oil Detox is an incredibly potent cleansing program, ideal for fixing all types of digestive problems. A very effective method to re-stabilize the digestive system.
The problem with the popular juice fast is that it contains a lot of sugar.
Most people in a juice fast would be lucky to find minor relief from candidiasis, for instance, because the sugar keeps on sustaining the candida fungus.
Compared to water, juice fasting contains a tiny amount of calories that gives you enough energy to function throughout the day.
But coconut oil provides you a better source of calories in the form of Medium Chain Fatty Acids (MCFA).

How Much Oil to Consume?
During a Coconut Oil Detox, you need to consume 10-14 tablespoons of coconut oil daily. You can back off a bit if you simply can’t handle this much oil.
Too much of any oil, if you're not accustomed to it, will give you loose stools. So scatter the intake throughout the day.
It might also be a good idea to avoid taking the oil within 3 or 4 hours of going to bed as too much energy can prevent you from falling asleep.
Coconut Oil Complements
Drink as much water and sugarless lemonade as you can. Lemons and limes are natural detoxifiers and help cleanse the liver.
You are also allowed to eat no more than 4 ounces of fresh, non-dried, unsweetened coconut meat which is rich in fiber and nourishes the good bacteria in the gut.
Can't Consume Oil Directly?
Many people, including me, can swallow oil with no problem. But some have difficulty consuming any oil by the spoonful.
How about mixing coconut oil into your cup of sugarless lemonade? Or maybe blend the oil with some plain, organic, unflavored, unsweetened yogurt? These are easy ways to "indirectly" consume coconut oil.
How Long will it Take?
The coconut oil detoxification program can be done for 3 or 7 days, even more. Most people can do a 3-day detox. Check with your doctor first before doing the cleansing for 7 days to be sure.
For more than 7 days at a time, please seek the guidance of someone experienced in fasting to assist you along the way.
You may need or want to do several 3-day cleanses. Longer fasts are harder but the cleansing is faster.
Preparation is Important
As in all types of fasting, you need to prepare yourself for the Coconut Oil Detox. Take between 2 and 4 weeks to boost your nutritional reserves. Don’t fast with a weak body!
Make sure to take lots of water. Eat some sea salt should you experience intestinal discomfort, lower back pain, etc, during the fast. Unrefined sea salt provides a wide spectrum of trace minerals that aid in cleansing and healing.
The cleansing your body will undergo can result to a healing crisis. Do not worry about the uncomfortable symptoms that could happen. It’s a sign of improving health and you’ll feel much better when the purging is over.
