for a Healthier You




Looking for recipes with coconut oil to assist you in achieving optimal health? Whatever your condition is, coconut oil is here to help.

According to researchers at McGill University in Canada, by simply replacing all your dietary oils made of long-chain triglycerides (LCT) with one that contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), you can lose up to 36 pounds of excess fat a year.

All you have to do is get an oil change. That's it! No diet change, whatsoever. None!

Common LCT-oils are soybean oil, safflower oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, etc. Comparatively, there are very few MCT-oils. Good thing coconut oil is more than two-thirds MCTs. In fact, it is nature's richest source of MCTs.

BASIC SCRAMBLED EGGS

  • four(4) large eggs
  • two(2) tablespoons heave cream or milk of choice
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • two(2) tablespoons virgin coconut oil

In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, cream and black pepper, then set aside.

In a medium-size nonstick frying pan, melt coconut oil over medium-high heat.

When oil is hot and bubbly, add eggs to pan and reduce heat to medium.

Smoothly blend egg mixture with a spoon until eggs are soft, creamy and cooked the way you like it. Serve immediately. SERVES 2

LOW-CARB HAMBURGERS

  • one(1) pound ground beef or buffalo
  • one(1) teaspoon ground cumin
  • one(1) teaspoon ground coriander
  • one(1) teaspoon fresh marjoram, minced or 1 tablespoon dried
  • half(.5) teaspoon turmeric
  • half(.5) teaspoon paprika
  • half(.5) teaspoon sea salt or Celtic salt
  • quarter(.25) teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • one(1) teaspoon finely minced fresh garlic
  • two(2) eggs
  • three(3) tablespoons virgin coconut oil
  • half(.5) head lettuce
  • one(1) sweet red onion or Vidalia onion
  • one(1) tomato

Place the meat in a bowl, and add the spices and eggs.

Mix everything together well and form patties the size you like.

Place patties on a skillet in which the coconut oil has been melting.

Fry them on both sides slowly making sure the meat is cooked completely through (there should be nothing pink inside).

Pick the patties up and place them on paper towels to absorb any excess fat.

Top with lettuce, onion and tomato. Add mustard to taste. SERVES 4
