Previously Damaged Hair

by Anonymous

I got highlights and the hairdresser fried my hair as a result. I was so upset because my soft hair had transformed into a dry frizzy mess. I reminded me of wires... If I bent my hair it would stay that way. It was awful and I cringed every time I had to wash because my hair would knot up with the shampoo and it felt like it would break off (some of it did).

After a couple days of using coconut oil on my hair, I am delighted to report that it is back to its soft silk self...something "Wen" shampoo wasn't able to do (tried it). I will be using coconut oil on my skin and hair from now on.

Just be sure to wash your hair out well so it doesn't look oily. The first time I left the oil in my hair for about an hour and I wrapped it with saran wrap. Now, I apply it on my hair as I am ready to take a shower and proceed with the shower as usual.

Coconut Oil for Damaged Hair
by: Frederick

My wife's hair was also damaged by a careless hairdresser. Good thing I am her husband. :-)

I told her to take it easy and let coconut oil do its magic on her all of a sudden dry and dull hair. She liberally applied coconut oil and put a shower cap on before going to bed. She couldn't believe it when she woke up in the morning because it's as if her hair wasn't damaged at all just the night before.

We actually noticed that there's still some dryness and dullness so I suggested she do it again that same morning and one more before going to bed later for good measure. It's that quick folks! In just two days, her hair was back to normal. I've seen coconut oil do this kind of repair on many people's hair already, including mine.
