For Women of Color - Coconut Oil is Best!

I am a woman of African-American descent, and as such, I've found it very difficult to find a hair care product that truly works. That is until I discovered coconut oil.
I have literally tried almost every "hair oil" there is to try on the hair care shelves, and all of them left my hair in worse condition than before. The reason? They contain petroleum and mineral oil. These are great for protecting your skin, but do nothing for beautifying your hair. Even the ones that have essential oils added to them are a waste as the petroleum literally blocks the oil from getting to where it needs to be.
I finally did some research and purchased a jar of pure coconut oil from the local health food store (yes, health food store; don't even waste your time trying to find the good stuff at your local hair care shop). I was instantly amazed at the results. My hair was softer, shinier, and more manageable than it had ever been.
I've also noticed like the article states that coconut oil helps to keep my hair clean. I can go as much as two months without having to wash my hair because of styling product buildup.
I've been using coconut oil for over a year now and I will never go back to anything else. I don't even need to use anything else because it replaces a whole dresser's worth of hair care products. It's truly phenomenal. I tell everyone I can about it.
If you're like me and suffer from dandruff and dry scalp, you'll definitely want to try it. My scalp does not itch anymore. And flakes? What flakes? Completely gone.
I know I sound like a commercial right now, but it's true. So girls, stop wasting your money on products like African Pride, Dark & Lovely, Gentle Treatment, Optimum, etc. They may make your hair look great on the surface, but that's all they'll do. Use coconut oil; you won't regret it. ^_^
