Can You Use Cold-Pressed VCO?

by Zee
(Singapore)

I wanna try the VCO for my hair so bad because my hair is falling like crazy. I can go bald in a year. *oh hopefully NOTTTTT*

I’m so desperate. I asked my mum to help me buy and she bought this cold-pressed VCO for consumption.

My question is, can you use that in your hair? Or do I have to get the one specialized for hair?

HELP!!!!

Hi Zee,

You can use Cold-Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). Absolutely!

Cold-pressed VCO can be used for hair, for consumption, for cooking, for skin, etc. You already have the right one!

For best/maximum results, massage a liberal (but not dripping wet) amount of coconut oil on your hair and scalp. Make sure you rub it in your scalp. The massaging action alone will help stimulate proper blood flow on your scalp which is important for hair growth.

Do this daily for at least a month. Chances are, good results will happen. This is exactly what I did for my hair fall problem four years ago. And I'm happy to share that I was able to stimulate growth of much needed new hair, especially up top.

Hope this helps,
Frederick

Hi Jessica. I'm sure by stiff oil you mean it is in solid white form? If it is, then it's alright. You just have to put it in room temperature and it will melt by itself. Or grab some amount (just a bit) and then rub it in your palm. It will automatically melt because it will melt just when it hits 74 degrees F, if I'm not wrong.

So yea. For me I just rub it to my scalp without anything else. I'm not sure about the further benefit if you add egg, though. But you just wanna apply it in your hair like when you're using the hair gel.

Hope that helps, Jess. :)
Cheers

Steps to Use VCO
by: jessica

Hi Frederick,

I see you mention that VCO is good for hair growth. My question to you is what are the steps on using VCO?

I recently just brought a Nutiva virgin coconut oil from GNC. When I opened the bottle the oil was very stiff. I am not too sure whether I am supposed to melt it in the microwave and add egg as I read before.

Can you please give me suggestions on how to use Nutiva VCO. Also, I just brought macadamia shampoo. Do you suggest using these two products together will do any harm?

As I mentioned before, my hair is extremely dry and just keeps falling. I did dye my hair a couple of times and curly permed it as well. Happy Holidays and hope to hear from you soon.
